I've never had a rain or cold jacket, probably never or at least in the last 20 years since living in sunny California and it's always so perfect weather here. But I thought ahead and decided I should get one so a roommate could be comfortable in the 50-60 degrees Fahrenheit during the winter months and save on gas utility bills, which is a sky rocket at this time. In fact, I doubted that this jacket would be the only one or great one since I received it for its functionality and its price of less than $70 before tax and the deadline to send it to me directly within 24 hours or 10pm to be sent next day. I received and tried it on the next day about 5 hours before 10pm. Love the faux fur lining of the gray and black waterproof coat. I immediately felt hot or warm as soon as I put it on and decided it was a keeper. It's great for the small size. It surprised me too, but it gave me some room and didn't look big and gaudy like a bomber jacket from the '90s hip-hop era. Looks like a guard. Didn't smell funny either, just wanted to point out that it doesn't smell like chemicals.
