My nitrates have exploded! Black algae develop everywhere. Did everything I read or was told. Eventually I came across a website dedicated to this product. He said it wouldn't hurt to try. Have you. I rinsed mine and left it in purified tap water for a while. After about a week the nitrates were back to normal! Now my water is crystal clear! Algae stay at bay! A NOTICE. I cleaned everything again before using them! Very enthusiastic and highly recommended!
