I have two of these reactors in my 75 gallon saltwater aquarium: Reactor #1 contains 150g Phosbane GFO media. This works for phosphate removal, but I will try switching to a medium with larger grains as they are so small that they fall through the bottom lip of the reactor causing rising water to move and I am not getting a uniform flow through the medium . I'll update this in a few weeks when I switch media. I will probably switch to Seachem's Phosguard. Reactor #2 uses TLF NPX bioplastic nitrate media. It works like a charm. My stubborn pesky nitrates were between 30-40ppm until I started using this device. I gave the aquarium a few cans of Captive Purity AZ-NO3 Nitrate Eliminator and got this baby going and my nitrates were undetectable for 3 weeks. I'm hoping to reduce the water changes by 20% from 3-4 weeks to 3 months. I'll update this comment in about 6 months and let you know how things are going.
