Lace: Lace is more like stretchy tulle with delicate embroidery and is of fairly good quality, especially for the price. However, I think the waist is more than 7-8, but it looks good. Personally I prefer the fitted look so I might add a belt to give the waist a little more cinching. Lining: The lining is the reason I didn't give this dress a higher rating. The dress is beautiful but the lining is see through as it is more of a thin cotton fabric. However, a slip can help. I just don't like the look of the other layer underneath. Color: I'd say it's off-white or soft white rather than pure white. All in all I bought a lot of white christening gowns and this is a cute little gown for a pretty low price. I just went for something different, less transparent.
