Review on πŸ” VIAIR 10007 Constant Duty Onboard Air System - Optimize Your Search by Elder Unogu

Great product but a little lack.

Outstanding system! Quality product at a good price! The only problem I have is that this system advertises the ability to run "small air tools" (I'm not sure I've ever seen "small air tools"), but you CAN default (? ) Use compressed air tools. There is now not enough air in the tank to run an air ratchet or percussion gun for more than a few seconds before the pressure drops too much and you have to wait for the compressor to refill the tank. Unfortunately, while the 450C will run almost indefinitely at 100% duty cycle, it is not powerful enough to power air tools alone without an accumulator. The GOOD side is that it is a very well built system with easy to follow instructions and quality fittings. While finding a way to route plumbing around your truck is totally unique, this system provides good plumbing/wiring guidance and comes with A LOT more overhead wiring. The big hype is that it can fill up to 37-inch tires. I currently run 35" tires on a 20" rim and can easily refill my tires without stressing the system. The compressor is well suited for the tank. Size as it only takes a few minutes to go from empty to full and the auto on/off button works like a charm. You can easily use it to install horns or turn on lockers, but the "tooling problem" may leave you wanting more. Other than that, I would call THIS system a great entry-level air system for most SUVs and wouldn't bother with anything lower ... If you really want to use pneumatic tools for long-distance repairs, consider a dual-compressor system and a larger tank.
