Revainrating 5 out of 5

Pretty good Fits well for in-ear headphones

They've been gone for a long time and I won't write a review. Just make a few comments based on the information already available. Yes, they are relatively difficult to use, but not as difficult as some people think. For some examples. Fio X5 3rd generation. Drives them damn well to a balanced output (turbocharged). The Cowon R2's 4 volt balanced output does a pretty good job with them. A&K Can alpha (medium or high gain). no problem. However, if you're working directly with the DAP, I think it would be a good idea to switch to a balanced cable right away. I was expecting a very light low end based on the ratings and comments but was pleasantly surprised. It's not that the P1 is far north of neutral in the low end, but it does have that flat 'bold' bass, similar to what budget Hifiman phones have. In this regard, I've read several comments comparing the P1 to entry-level Hifiman headphones. I personally don't consider the P1 to be an IEM version of the Hifiman 400i/4xx/Sundara as some people seem to be based on the comments I've come across. But I think if someone likes the 400i, for example, there's a pretty good chance they'll like the P1 too. Excellent. After all, it was their flagship for a while, at least in terms of price. In terms of fit, I personally don't have any fit issues with the Azla SednaEarfit eartips and find the P1 to be quite comfortable. But I see that convenience and convenience are an issue for some people. I wasn't able to get a good fit and seal with the stock silicone tips. Overall, I think Crinacle's review of the P1 was fairly accurate in terms of the positives associated with frequency response and tuning, but with the technical details holding them back. . I think his criticism was too harsh, but I think his overall impression was closer to reality than the reviews advertised. Overall I'm very impressed that Tin Hifi did such a good job of doing the planar work in a small closed shell IEM. Especially without the obligatory equalizer. I'm deducting a star for the price. Whilst I think this IEM planar is quite an impressive achievement, the overall performance price is still quite high if I personally think a 400i or 4xx sounds better overall and is technically better for the same money or less. And I think Tin Hifi could do a little better in terms of build and ergonomics. It doesn't look like the budget will be used for the included cable and accessories. The storage box is good but nothing special and the cable is fine at best. But then again, the production costs might be higher than I imagine. P2 costs twice as much. However, I really like these IEMs. They're far from perfect, but they make one hell of a planar sound in a small package that, while not cheap, isn't overly expensive either.

Pros
  • Good stuff
Cons
  • Very expensive
