Qam Wired Only

It takes too long to find working channels that are not scrambled. The remote control must be very close to the device for it to work. The remote also works sporadically. You can't manually enter a channel like 14-7712 with the remote - you can only enter 6 digits, even uplink and downlink show 7 digits. They called and said a firmware update would fix the problem. This isn't the case, and the fixes I see were already on the device, which came out of the box. My device was MFG after the firmware date. The guide never comes out for ABC, NBC, FOX, CW or any other local channels as I only have one local channel with my cable. I can record the 1st test manually as normal. Too bad it was a two tuner setup. The recording is clumsy and not for the average viewer. The information field must be transparent or may be smaller. The same goes for the pause - should be transparent on the screen. It can be useful to rename the channel number to match the ASTC numbers of the local channels. Example ABC = channel 8-1, not 52-1708.
