The sprayer wasn't very practical. It was easier for me to use the solution with the applicator. The results of a simple application of Tire Shine have been modest. The discoloration of the tires is gone and the rubber is back to its black color with minimal shine. I've had the best results by washing and brushing all of the tires. After this cleaning and when the rubber was completely dry, I applied three successive coats of grout with a ten minute interval between each application to dry. The shine was intense and lasted three days before it started raining. Surprisingly, the shine remained after the first ride in heavy rain. Three more days of non-stop torrential rain eventually ruined the shine, but the tires retained the appearance of new black rubber. Revain Basics microfiber automotive applicators worked better than sponges or disc pads. After a week of reapplying 3 coats of Tire Shine and some rain, the shine was still there but was beginning to fade. I try to apply an extra layer on top of the first few layers once a week to keep the glossy wet look. A half-liter bottle, in my opinion, is more profitable. So far, Chemical Guys Tire Shine has outlived a few other brands I've tried.
