No instructions for use. That shouldn't be a problem, but I don't know what the smaller screws are for. There are no threads on the hot shoe or camera frame to screw them into. The Cold Shoe has no bevel. So if your flash or mic has pins on the bottom, you will need to push them in first before they will fit in the cold shoe. Due to the extra screw holes, these pins can cause the flash/mic to get stuck on the mount and you risk damaging the flash/mic to remove it. I have to use plastic cold shoe adapters on my gear to safely install and remove these cold shoes. And they work fine with that.
