I've tried many chef's knives for less than $100 and this is definitely the best. I tried sharpening it with a wire sharpener and at first didn't realize I was wasting my time. I finally got my hands on a good electric sharpener and it took a few minutes to sharpen this very hard steel but now it is very sharp, shaves my hand easily and holds the blade very well. The damask pattern looks authentic and not printed like some knives I've used. Fits well in the hand and the handle feels very high quality.
