Don't think twice about audio cables

I'm an audiophile and audio skeptic. I've long believed that all speaker wire sounds the same. I was also skeptical about bi-wiring the speakers, which always struck me as a gimmick. These cables changed my mind on both counts. I recently went to the speaker wire trying to make big bang. I've used Monoprice's 12 Awe cable and haven't complained, but my system is very sensitive to changes, so I was wondering if more expensive cables could offer a bit more performance. I tried Audioquest Rocket 11s and Rocket 33s. Both sounded drastically different than my Monoprice cables (and much worse - flimsy and bulky and really tiring to listen to). Obviously I was wrong when I said that all cables sound the same. They really sounded different in a bad way. I have used Canare cables in my home theater before and had no complaints so I was wondering how they would perform in a quality two channel setup. While doing this I decided to hook up my Klipsch Forte IIIs in a two wire circuit. Bingo! These cables and the biwiring just blew me away. I'm using a very low power Decware amp (2W) to drive a high power Fortes. With these cables, the bass sound is remarkable and the always impressive soundstage has been significantly expanded. Most striking, however, is the sense of space between the instruments. It's like the musicians used to play at a tiny NPR tabletop concert, and now they have an entire stage to spread out on. I can't stress enough how skeptical I am of audio tricks that people swear will improve the sound. This is not a trick. These cables outperform the much more expensive cables in my system and convince me that if there is a point of diminishing returns, it starts with these cables. I see no reason to spend more money on cables. At this price they are not a problem.
