I've noticed all the negative reviews on here about how easily this cork breaks. I have to disagree. There is a trick to using these plugs successfully! DO NOT OVERLOAD! The top of the device rotates to the right to close and to the left to open. Twist as you close until it is snug. Try to pull the stopper straight up. When it comes out of the bottle, it's not sealed. If left on the bottle, it's sealed. If you over tighten it will break. We have had two of them for over a year now and have never had any problems. We use them a lot as we almost always keep a bottle of champagne in the fridge. This sealant is the best we've tried when used properly (carefully).
