This is a great option for a child who is learning to stop using their hands and use a fork instead. The prongs aren't as sharp as my everyday cutlery, but they aren't rounded and blunt enough to be ineffective at anything but my child's frustration. They are sturdy and the perfect size for your hand. I see we're using them for a while too, simply because I'd never have cutlery otherwise! I also need to buy spoons to replace her baby spoons and will probably buy knives when she is ready to learn how to use them.
