I bought this as a sort of beginner's trimmer when I first got back into scrapbooking. It is quite suitable for this purpose. Compact, easy to use, provides a clean and sharp cut. Just keep it clean and you'll be fine. Overall I'm very happy with this little guy, but I have one big doubt. I use this to crop photos/paper to PL size, so many 3 inch pieces. Hinge that the arm is laid out on is on the RIGHT side where the 3 inch mark should be. For example in the middle of a rotating part. There are 2" and 4" marks on the ruler, but there aren't many divisions between them, including the 3" line. It's IMPOSSIBLE to cut a piece of paper down to 3"! Gr!
