The light is a fiber optic line that wraps around the outer rim. And the RGB light shines from the Power/Control stuff in the top left corner. So the brightness is distributed unevenly, the further away from the switch, the darker. So there is no liquid multicolor mode either. Multicolor mode basically just flashes from color to color. It's very annoying, so I usually just leave it purple because it's the complementary color to the rest of the mousepad. Otherwise the rest is very nice; The mist has sharp detail and is comfortable, and everything around it is comfortable and fluid. Definitely a good buy, but I wish the company had spent a little more to make this a segment-driven LED strip instead of just a simple fiber optic line.
