Definitely a must if you want to weatherproof your device. BUT after reading all the reviews you have to be careful with glare at night. I thought I covered it up by painting the interior with a gray matte primer. He solved most problems. However, I still have a white glow at the top of the camera at night. I can still see everything, but it's not perfect. If I placed it about 1 inch above the camera I would get rid of the glare. So be careful and plan your actions in advance. According to one review, the screen was broken. If installed correctly, this cannot be the case.
