. I found it fitted well (just as you would like) and it went on without any type of recording. With the blade on the original cardboard container, I put the adapter ring in the hole and then hammered it in with a small hammer. With the adapter installed, it fits my 5/8" Delta Contractor saw arbor perfectly with no wobble. I bought this blade for one purpose: cutting thin sheet of aluminum (less than 1/8" thick) into perfect rectangles. With a good Stop (I have an Incra TS-LS3) and a properly adjusted saw, it was very easy to get 1/1000" cuts straight and clean. The blade cuts cleanly and easily without using force to destabilize the operation. A file is good for removing a few tiny burrs to achieve perfection.My table saw can support 10" blades and you may be wondering why I chose such a small diameter blade when this aluminum cutting blade is available in larger diameters. I believe the smaller blades have a significantly slower aluminum contact rate compared to the circumference of a 10" blade. Cutting metal is best done with a he slower saw. Since I can't change the speed of the motor, a smaller blade has the same effect as reducing the speed to about 54%. It needs to be raised almost to the maximum of its reach, but I don't expect that to have to cut thicker aluminum than this blade can handle. If you have any comments as to why this might not be a good idea please let me know, but it seems correct to me. It's important to wear ear and eye protection when using this knife, although for what I do it's no louder than chopping wood with a wood knife.
