Bought this knife while it was on the Gold Box promotion. If the knife was at full price I would NOT give it five stars. At a reduced price, this is more than a five star knife. I had an open mind when I first used this knife. I don't know how to convey that a knife goes through food like a hot wire through foam! I use this knife for almost all of the usual prep work that comes with preparing vegetables. It takes no strength or effort to cut through everything I've tried, but it leaves the amazingly crispest, cleanest edges on my lovely, soft heirloom tomatoes. I use my mandolin a lot less since I bought this knife. !
