Review on 👨 MagicHold 3 in 1 Adjustable Laptop Tablet Stand: 360° Rotation, Portable, for Bed/Floor - Compatible with iPad, MacBook, Surface Pro/Book by James Dominick

I work in IT and sit and stand in front of my desk all day. After work I just want to eat on the couch with my MacBook Air. My neck and shoulders were straining from constantly staring at my laptop while holding it on the armrest or on my lap, so I looked for a way to be ergonomically lazy (as ergonomically as a plush pull-out couch can afford). something that didn't take up too much space and was easy to get out of the way. I also needed something that is strong and will hold my laptop at about a 70 degree angle to the horizontal without fear of it falling on me, while I lean back. MagicHold was one of the few products I could find online that met all of these requirements, so I placed an order. The assembly instructions were poor, but it wasn't hard to figure out how to connect the three sticks together. Once assembled, I positioned it over the sofa and plugged it into the MacBook. The stand as a whole seemed able to support the weight so I rotated the laptop about 70 degrees to see if it would fall out of the base and the laptop didn't fall off. So far, so good. When I tried to sit on the couch and recline, I was able to rotate the laptop to exactly where I needed it. Success! However, after a day or so I realized that while it's perfect for watching Netflix, but reaching for the keyboard to type anything more than a few clicks and move the mouse was unergonomic and frankly tiring. So, in addition to the rack, I bought an Apple Magic Keyboard and trackpad along with a simple tray to put them in. The ones on my lap while looking at the screen held by MagicHold. In fact, I'm reclining on the couch while writing this review and didn't have to touch my laptop at all this morning. The tension in my shoulder and neck was gone with this setup, but now my lower back hurts from being in a semi-recumbent position. lying on the couch for so long, but I can't blame MagicHold for that. While MagicHold works for me and my use case, I would like to point out a few things mentioned in other reviews: 1. This product is stable when typing, but there is noticeable reverberation. If you type lightly or only lightly while using MagicHold, I don't think it's a problem. Before I switched to using a wireless keyboard and trackpad, I realized that I couldn't be as persistent when using my MacBook's built-in keyboard or trackpad because of the reverberation. I was a little concerned when I saw several reviews complaining about the inability to turn the laptop sideways when standing up. Leaving the comfort of the sofa is already sadness. Who wants to make a fight out of this? I myself had problems at first because my first wish, getting the laptop out of the way consisted of moving my entire arm, but the arm doesn't rotate around the main shaft/stand. Then I realized I hadn't used the hinge in the middle of the arm. I found that by rotating this hinge I could easily get the laptop completely out of the way. The problem is solved. Some things I would like to improve in MagicHold: 1. Switching between different clamps for your digital devices requires an allen wrench and some critical thinking skills. I wish it was intuitive and could be done without having to pick up a tool.2. The grips that touch your laptop to hold it in place can easily slip off (and get lost), if you are not careful when removing your laptop from the stand. handy for messing around with my laptop.
