All you need is gold and silver powder and an applicator

First, I'm not a manicurist and I don't do manicures for other people; I'm just a hobbyist who loves nail powder. Also, I'm a professional cosmetic chemist, so I can talk a little bit about the powders themselves. In my opinion this set is worth the price just for the gold and silver powders and the reversible applicator. If you use makeup sponges in front of this applicator, the difference is huge. I find that the best results are achieved by "grabbing" a small amount of powder with a brush, patting it onto the nail and then buffing the powder with a sponge applicator. In the drawings, I only used the attachment for the index and ring fingers, but used the application method described above for the middle and pinky fingers. You can see the sponge tip does a much better job of creating a smooth and seamless result. That's because . . . . . As others have pointed out, some jars contain a powder that looks matte and a bit gray. This is a voluminous powder that reflects the light refracted by the special FX particles in such a way that the effect is still visible without the use of many extremely expensive special FX powders. These special pigments are very expensive and I know that this kit would be at least 4 times the price if they ONLY used unfilled special effects powders. This filler is also more spherical than FX Specialty Powder, meaning it doesn't stick to the sponge tip as easily; This is where the above application method comes into play. Here's a breakdown of the colors in the order they appear in my photos: intense silver holographic; next to it is an intense golden hologram; holographic magenta; alongside a holographic violet there is a larger pink violet which is a deeper violet chrome (it is the most visible amount of loose powder glass shown in the photos); there is a finely ground blue that is holographic blue; In addition to the holographic blue, there is a dark blue, rich dark blue chrome; there is a green-blue-indigo-violet multichrome; next to the former multichrome is a fuchsia-red-yellow-green multichrome; All powders are very reflective and impress even without a top coat. My absolute favorite powders are holographic gold and silver powders. Not only does the powder appear to be zero, but the effect they produce is extremely high quality. They're finely ground, reflect light really well, and the tiniest bit will give you full coverage. All powders require a minimal amount of product to achieve full coverage, but gold and silver powders take it to a whole new level. I really can't admire her. It's also worth noting that these powders need a top coat to stay in place. All photos I have provided are WITHOUT top coat as I ran out of gel polish so the effect is much more pronounced with the top coat. If you don't apply the top coat, the powders will come off in no time. Always use these cured gel nail polishes and top them off with a gel top coat for best results.
