The rim cover is made from cheap cardboard that will break down over time and with regular use a washing machine is out of the question. Cap. It's just a loose piece, so pulling on the brim to adjust the hat won't work. The material also feels cheap and doesn't stand up to rough handling. I bought this hat as an extra when my main hat got dirty or out of place. I intend to return it and look for another one now.
