Just had cataract surgery and can now see 20/20 far away but can't focus close up. They are very similar to my old progressive lenses, except for reading glasses. You still use them the same way you would use reading glasses, where you look up at distance and through the lenses at near. But if you're trying to see objects at different distances, you can choose the best performance just by raising/lowering your head. I chose mine to match the three distances I'm most likely to work at: maximum for reading, medium for laptop, and small for desktop. The lenses themselves have a reflective tint, which I usually associate with sun protection. Glare, although as far as I know it's a blue blocker. You have a decent weight. My kitchen scale weighed 24g/0.75oz. Not too heavy and not too light but then again I've gotten used to the thick glasses I had before my cataract surgery. be too tight. The springy alloy that makes up most of the temples allowed them to sit very comfortably on my wide "melon". They seem to last as long as my old prescription glasses, so I hope they last as long. Of course, as a part-time reader and not a full-time eyeglass, I'll lose them before they wear out. ;-)
