This is the only leash I currently use! It's not as long as most leashes on the market and has two very soft handles for extra control over your dog when needed. We use this leash for daily walks and weekly hikes. I currently have three: two gray ones for walking/hiking with two very large strong dogs and a third black one that I use daily with my companion dog. My dogs are very well behaved and don't really need leashes but it's the law so we comply and most of the time those leashes drag on the ground. Aside from that, they've been pumped through the pavement, across streams, into dirt, mud and gravel, and after a few months they still look brand new - not a single crack or problem. When needed, I rinse them in warm water in the sink and let them air dry. When my dogs pull, the bungee absorbs it and takes the strain off my arms, which is important as I am disabled and have weakness and nerve damage in my arms/hands. Love the clasp - it's very easy for me to put my dog on and off which has been a problem with many other leashes due to nerve damage. I also like that the metal is black to match the metal on my dog's collar. This is a very well made, durable and high quality product, especially for the low price! EDIT: We have been using these leashes continuously on a daily basis with dogs ranging in size from 90lbs to 15lbs for over a year and I still don't. Complaints. I really love this leash and recommend it to all my friends. I've noticed reviews that show their clasps are broken and one thing that stands out to me is that all the clasps are silver metal. All mine have black metal flaps and can unmistakably handle very strong, muscular dogs. I can only assume the silver clasps were a problem and the manufacturer fixed it with black metal clasps. I now have 5 of these lines and none of them are broken or worn out. All have black metal clasps. I have worked with dogs my entire adult life and now I recommend this leash and only to his friends, clients, co-workers and family.
