If you have a Crosstrek just buy low beam

I bought the kit and was impressed with the easy installation and good fit. However, since my Subaru Crosstrek 2021 (Premium, originally Halogen) has daytime running lights that cannot be turned off, these DRLs use the high beam (9005 bulb included) to run on less wattage during the day. This is the main disadvantage of the kit, because with such a low power, the high beam lamps flicker during the day when the bars switch to DRL mode. I tried buying a decoder from Alla that adds a second relay to solve the problem but that didn't solve the problem. I sent the decoder back and replaced the original high beam halogen bulbs. I live in a busy suburban area and rarely drive at night so high beam is very infrequent - maybe only once or twice a year. To be on the safe side I didn't try to contact Alla as I wanted to disassemble my headlights (OCD) myself instead of waiting hours for something basically stupid to worry about. I will keep the set as it is high quality. but if you're buying a Subaru with factory halogens, I recommend just buying the H11 and getting a pair of white Sylvania 9005 bulbs to better match the LED low beam headlights. The low beam LEDs are so good compared to standard halogen that I never foresee the need for high beams. Also, this is not a disadvantage of the lamps themselves. I have a 2015 Ford and would easily buy a similar kit for it. The difference is that the daytime running lights (DRL) for my Ford can be turned off on the menu screen controlled by the steering wheel buttons. If my Subaru would allow it, I would use LED high and low beams. Hope this will be helpful. If your car doesn't have DRLs, buy them!
