Review on πŸ”₯ BikeMaster Heated Grips: LCD Switch for 7/8" Handlebars - Stay Warm and Comfortable While Riding by Aavon Dark

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Too short for my 81 Goldwing but love the controller

Hard rubber grips. I also found that the Goldwing had longer than average handlebars and my handlebars were sticking out at the ends of that handlebar. It would work, but it would look ridiculous. I like the backlit LCD digital controller; five power levels and a good voltmeter that I can see while driving. I cut the wires on the handlebars, threw them away and kept the controller. I took apart a set of Bikemaster foam grips (the ones with chrome ends), put heating pads in and soldered them to the controller wires. More convenient and works well. (Note: I had to look for heaters in the 7-8 ohm range (similar to these grips). Many heaters are 12-13 ohms in resistance and not as warm.) Foam (too hot for bare hands at levels 4- 5, but heats up quickly and higher levels are good with gloves). don't mind clinging to hard rubber, it's a great value. And if all else fails and you don't mind DIY projects, you still have a good controller.

Pros
  • This is awesome
Cons
