A must have for wired headphones!

If you have an MP3 player or a phone that you use with wired headphones, these are essential to avoid tangling. I've been using Gear Ties (3 inch version) for years and they are fantastic. I like listening to podcasts and music while exercising, shopping, lunch, etc. So every morning when I leave for work, I tie the cords of my headphones together and put them in my bag or briefcase with my Sansa MP3 player. I can unfold the earbuds in just a few seconds as they never get tangled. Before I started using these twists, it often took me 20-30 seconds to untangle and adjust the headphones. And there was a higher chance of the rubber earcup covers getting tangled and peeling off. I've also used these twists when storing electrical adapters that have wires coming out of them. If you have a trash can with a bunch of old PSUs in the trash can, tie the cables together with zip ties for easier handling. (Alternatively, you can just store your power supplies in a sandwich plastic bag; that works just as well.) The bends are pretty strong, but they don't last forever. Since you move the piece of wire back and forth in the rubber sleeve with each use, the coils will eventually break. I estimate that they deteriorate after an average of 4-5 months of daily use. But it doesn't matter - just pull another of the 4 packs out of the drawer and you're ready to go.
