An inexpensive solution to a big annoying problem

My 2007 Honda CRV had a defective extra connector. I love listening to music from my phone or iPod while driving, so I called the dealer first to find out how much it would cost to replace it. They quoted my over $100! I started googling how to fix this myself and found this connector on Amazon. For less than $15 and about 10 minutes I solved the problem. The auxiliary connector just pops out of the socket on my center console, so unplug it. was easy (used a tiny flat head screwdriver to pry out the clip holding it). I then disconnected the connector harness and plugged in a new accessory connector (remember to compare connector shape and pin count before purchasing a replacement). The new one didn't fit as tightly as the original connector due to the slight difference in the terminals on either side, but other than that it fitted perfectly! The sound quality is very good and the same if not better than the OEM connector. I am very satisfied with this product.
