Review on πŸ”ͺ 8-Inch Chopping Knife by CUTLUXE – Forged German High Carbon Steel – Full Tang & Razor Sharp Blade – Ergonomic Handle Design – Artisan Series by Candice Lopez

The best budget knife on the market.

I am currently a chef and have been using this knife for a few days. When it arrived it was very spicy. The overall design of the knife is great. It is weighted directly on the handle, as befits a chef's knife. It's fairly light for such a large knife and is comfortable to use for many hours. The German steel used in the knife is a high carbon stainless steel that is good for both edge retention and rust prevention. If your budget is around $40, this knife will cost half that amount and will meet all your needs. *UPDATE* So far I've used this knife. daily for the last week or two. It still works great. It loses some of its sharpness after about two days of very heavy use, but that's only noticeable because I like my knives to be razor sharp. But a few taps with a sharpener or sharpener will sharpen it back. *UPDATE 2* I switched to a new job while still a chef and brought this knife with me. I haven't used it for a few weeks because all my co-workers love it! So I bought another one :) *UPDATE 3* For now I still think this knife is a good deal (although it has doubled its price since I first bought it). All 3 I've bought over the last few years are still in good condition except for one that had a bent tip from a careless co-worker. I definitely still recommend this $40 knife, but for $50-60 you can find something better. Have fun cooking!
