I've had indoor cats all my life. I've never liked the litter box so my new kittens train with the Kitty's Loo set. I needed a flushable litter box for the toilet. This is fantastic material. If the kittens eventually stop using the toilet, I'll probably continue to use this litter. It clumps almost perfectly. When scooping, no small pieces break off and it rises cleanly from the bottom of the pan. It controls odor and appears cleaner overall. In addition, because it is very light, the change in urine color, which is important for cats, is easy to see. A note: I first bought a bag of "tiny" beans. While I liked this filler as much as I liked the "fine" granules, I found it too fine to use for my purposes. The tiny beans simply pass through the screen in the Kitty's Loo system and down the toilet. So if you are using for this purpose, be sure to purchase a fine grit filler. Note: I wash off the feces and scoop the clumps into a closed container. I just don't want to risk installing it. But on the flip side, this litter controls cat pee smell better than any other litter I've ever used and without a strong scent to just mask the smell. The bin with pee lumps doesn't even smell when I open it to add another lump. It's really adorable!
