later Beautiful. it's strong The shape is ideal for decanting. But it's hard to pour without spilling. This is a beautiful carafe. It's crystal clear and looks like a $100 crystal decanter. This is a relatively fragile decanter. It's pretty thick, including the lip. It has a base as wide as that of the carafe. Unfortunately I can't water without the water running down the sides. Maybe because the lip is too thick?
