We redesigned our rear speakers and used them for the bookshelf and counter. It was after a renovation and we needed speaker stands. I was looking at speaker company booths but when I saw this one from Mount-It I really liked it! Showed it to my wife, she liked it too. When assembling them, be sure to route the wires in one leg as you assemble them. Also, if you're installing them on a wooden floor, you'll have to go to a hardware store and buy screws to insert them from underneath to replace the screw-in spikes, since the screws holding the posts stick out a lot too. These bolts are metric (SAE threads will not work). Take 1/2" screws and put felt pads on top and you're done.
