Bought for our family but especially for my husband who wanted a sling carrier for our dachshund but didn't want anything cute, loud, complicated or look like a baby carrier. . This seemed to fit the bill. In general we are satisfied although our Doxy is still a puppy but I think this should suit her into adulthood. Pros: - The style is slim to fit the guy - Adjustable strap! It's so important and it's not in many slings. The design has enough "shape" so the bottom doesn't fall all the way onto the dog like most slings. It's not stiff at all, but the panels and stitching give it a rectangular bottom shape rather than just a "pocket shape". The material is similar to a backpack - it seems stain-resistant and easy to clean (unlike soft fabric). slings) - the pocket seems deep and long enough for a life size dachshund. Two toy dogs could probably share this bag - A front pocket for keys or whatever is a nice bonus. Cons: - No padding over the harness (probably needs to be added somehow as the dog gets heavier) - Bungee cord inside that adjusts the size of the front opening of the bag (around the head when worn as in the photo ), quite small and cheap. I assume this will break at some point. In fact, if you tighten it (to make the hole smaller) and then pull a little on the opening of the bag, the bungee clip doesn't hold the cord well, so it opens up (becomes a larger opening) without much effort. .- While there is a "ring" inside for you to attach a leash to, the kit does not include a clip that could simply clip into the dog's collar ring for security. One more thing to add. So overall this is a good choice for us as it is made of durable, easy to clean material and has enough space for our Doxy. For now, we put a soft baby blanket on the bottom to fill in the space for her to see and to make it more comfortable (no padding inside, but that wasn't expected).
