Does the original part match the description? In my opinion no. If you've lost your grout cleaner, this one will probably do the trick. Better to have one than none. In my case I bought this because my Dyson tool was so dusty I wanted a clean new one. I use this tool almost every day when I vacuum. I figured buying new would be the best option. I wish I had gotten one straight away from Dyson or just taken the time to clean up my current one. The replacement tool is shorter than the genuine Dyson tool. It wobbles a bit when attaching, but it fits. Big differences in the bristles. Dyson bristles are longer and fuller. I am not happy with the quality of the bristles on this one. Because the bristles are shorter and less filled, I'm concerned that this replacement tool will scratch things as things come into contact with hard plastic. I use this tool for furniture and other items. I don't want to risk using this. I'm giving it 3 stars because it fits, but I don't think it lives up to the original. I should have known better and gotten the part from Dyson.
