I bought some plug in icicle bulbs from my local hardware store with a standard US plug. I figured they wouldn't be there long enough to walk around my fence but by then the store was sold out with the same lights. I specifically looked for plug-in lights on Amazon and decided on these. Nowhere in the description is it mentioned that they will NOT connect to standard lights. I've mixed/matched string lights in the past with no problems so I didn't think anything of it. But they only connect through their weird adapter. They don't mention it and don't even show a picture of what the ends look like, so there's no way to verify they're compatible until you open the box. So be aware if you buy them to connect to another brand of lamp they will not connect. Waste of money and waste of time.
