I should have read the reviews before buying this item. Yes it's cool and it does what it says on the tin, which is why I liked it for the Halloween season, but it's not what you think it is. Basically, it's thick paper that won't peel even after following the instructions on the side of the box. I ended up just laying it down on my regular bath rug as it doesn't give or cushion at all. After a few uses it started leaving pinkish red stains all over the mat. Because it comes rolled up, it's almost impossible to keep it flat even if the four corners are loaded for more than 24 hours. I tried the rollback method in reverse, but it was incredibly difficult and didn't work. I was planning to save this article for next year, but I won't do it now. I'm giving it 3 stars because it did what it should with the blood effect, which is really cool, but it's definitely not for year-round use. I used it in October before Halloween, but I'd recommend using it for a couple of weeks if you're really planning on buying it. In the attached photos after a month of use. I'm glad it wasn't more expensive because I would have been more disappointed.
