This is an excellent sharpener from Japan. It's heavy and made of steel. The only plastic part is the chip basket. It has two settings on the crank. One for 0.05mm and 0.09mm. I use this for my colored pencils which I have some Caran D'ache brilliance from which are slightly larger than a pencil and they work with this sharpener. I have Faber Castile Polychomes and a couple of Prismacolors, all well sharpened. My problem is they are too good at sharpening but we'll have to wait and see. I almost regret not getting the Carl CS-2000 with 5-point settings. Overall I am very happy with this pencil sharpener and I hope it will serve me for a very long time. Edit: It didn't come with a table clamp. It also has rubber grips for the part that holds the pen so it doesn't leave holes in your pen.
