After reading the reviews I was dying to try this carafe. But when I received it, it really didn't live up to my expectations in every way, from small scratches and tiny bubbles to the chunky and heavy carafe. You get what you pay for - so after looking at other carafes at Revain I ordered a Tritan crystal glass carafe from Schott Zwiesel and wow what a difference! I even ordered one for my sister in law for Christmas. I'm glad others like this decanter and it worked for them, but if you're a wine lover this isn't for you. Invest and treat yourself to a more expensive lead-free crystal carafe instead - you won't regret it.
