Started rusting within a day.

First the positives: The set was very cheap. The wire cutters feel durable and don't feel brittle or break easily. Now the cons: The screws on both pliers started to rust after a day/one wash in the dishwasher. Other cutters have hollow handles with holes that allow water to enter. I left them in a sink full of dishes and now they have dirty water in them that I can't throw out. You may have to throw them away for health reasons. I wouldn't recommend it as a gift unless you like the person receiving it.
