I think that would be great, but rock salt is dangerous for cats and dogs
Between ordering and receiving, I've found that if pets lick rock salt, they can get salt poisoning, which can lead to neurological damage. Of all the rock salt lamps, this would probably be the safest as it's less leaky than most, but I still didn't want to risk my cats' health. Also, rock salt comes in a plastic bag. thing in the cell. But since the cage is wider in the middle, it won't be easy to get the bag of stones out of the cage, get them out of the bag, insert the lightbulb, and put the stones back into the lamp.
