I bought this watch because I was looking for a way to improve my workout and train smarter as I tend to fall on the floor while exercising. I've tried the whoop strap (and found it completely inaccurate and awful) and the Garmin Fenix (it had too many features for me/had trouble using it) but they just didn't fit. For now this watch gives me exactly what I was looking for in terms of specs but not for everyone: Pros: - very intuitive and easy to understand watch operation - I haven't been overwhelmed by menus and features - accurate enough for my needs so far - every monitor on the wrist has its issues but so far I find this one pretty accurate - excellent technical and functional support from Polar - great for systems and analytical thinkers - if you love fitness and train physics you will love it - has lots of features but strikes a good balance between enough and not too much - excellent battery life so far. Cons: - the screen is darker than I'd like and I couldn't figure out how to set it up - as with any monitor on your wrist, if it's not secure enough on your wrist you won't get good data - can be overwhelming for someone untrained in exercise and training data - no touchscreen (but not bad) - the strap can be a little irritating on the skin at first
