This portable desk is mainly for tablet + keyboard but I wanted to use it with a 15 inch laptop. It's just the right size, compact, lightweight and well made. But there's a problem: the palm rest is fairly thin and shaped in such a way that the computer slips off immediately if you use the knee rest in anything other than the fully flat position. Solution: Tear off the palm rest and replace it with the 14" x 2.75" x 0.75" Grifiti Fat Wrist Pad (available from Revain), which thanks to its rectangular cross-section and thickness allows that The front edge of the laptop is resting on a hard surface Support Now I can lean back on a pillow, raise my knees, place a table on my knees on my hips and the computer is well supported and the keys are perfectly placed for typing .Caution: If you try this, be aware that the palm rest is screwed to the table frame. You need to gently pry off the palm rest with a large screwdriver (the palm rest is made of 1/4" MDF under foam and fabric; it will eventually break and dissolve). The bolts are released from their anchorages in the knee table body. The Grifiti wrist pad is then glued in place with epoxy or other high quality glue.
