This filter was durable and fitted well in my 10G aquarium. As time went on he got weaker and weaker. But the guppy fry still managed to get into the cartridge. Today (3 years and 1 month use) I cleaned the filter every two weeks. When I plugged it back in, it wouldn't turn on. This has been happening for about half a year now: the computer took some time to restart and sometimes had to be disconnected and reconnected several times to get it working. Today, however, he's officially dead. I felt warm and vibrated slightly while holding on to the engine, but as usual there was no sound of the propeller turning. I'll ask my dad to fix it later, but I think it's time for a new one. However, I hate that they increased (doubled?) the price of the new model because it has an extra useless indicator light.
