Who are you? - Cutlery & Knife Accessories

The first question to ask yourself before purchasing a knife sharpening "system" is: What are my expectations? If you're expecting this system to fix a completely dull or damaged knife that's causing your hair to break, you're going to be very disappointed. Or you have nothing to do in the coming days and weeks. Don't buy it. If you want to reuse the knife, read the point above. Don't buy it. If you want to add a mirror shine to your already sharp knife, these wands are not the way to go. Don't buy this. If you're obsessed with setting the most accurate edge angles, paying attention to how perpendicular you need to be to hold the blade and guide it over the round bar won't help you. Don't buy it. If you don't have the time or patience to sharpen knives, don't even think about buying one. God! who stays Who in their right mind would buy that box and clay sticks? That being said, I've found it to be a very useful tool to complement my other sharpening systems. (except for the belt sharpener and its raised edge) I set and hold all my knives at a 20° angle for convenience. This turnbox system is an easy way to "tweak" knives that are in use and have lost some of their sharpness. (no pun intended) It's also great for cleaning or deburring a knife. Throwing it in a desk drawer doesn't take up space. If the knife needs more than trimming or deburring, I leave this box in the drawer. But because it's so convenient, my knives rarely get to the point where they need more.
