I've been using this as a bedside lamp for two months and find it very good for its purpose. The lamp comes with three levels of lighting and I've never found it necessary to go beyond level 2 to read my novels day or night (and my eyes aren't that good). The adjustable neck is infinitely adjustable and directs the light exactly where I need it. And although I haven't used it yet, there is a USB port on the base of the lamp so you can charge your phone through it without having to unplug the lamp. If there are flaws in the design of the lamp, it would be a touch switch. While I don't mind constantly touching the lamp to toggle its brightness levels on and off, it doesn't always respond to touches. I've found that swiping down on the notch/power switch is better than just tapping. Then it usually works fine.
