Review on ๐Ÿ•ถ๏ธ Smith Outlier 2 Sunglasses, Matte Gravy/ChromaPop Bronze Mirror, Optics Outlier 2 ChromaPop Sunnies by Brad Schillings

Good value for money.

Prices on Amazon vary wildly, but if you can get the polarized version for under $100 I'd say it's a decent price. Smith has always been my regular customer for quality outdoor sunglasses (biking, hiking, hiking, etc.) and they're essentially on par with the glasses I've purchased from Smith over the years. The quality of the lenses (I have the brown polarized ones) is good (not great) and the build quality is solid. Some have complained that the hinges aren't what they used to be, but I've never broken a pair so they fit me. They have a decent amount of wrap, so they offer very good wind and sun protection without looking like a pair of super trainers (i.e. I don't look like an alien or a bug). They're snug to the face, so if you're expecting a wayfarer fit, they're no longer performance-oriented, but they're no longer a super-sport look either.

Pros
  • ANTI-REFLECTIVE coating. The vacuum anti-reflective coating on the back of the lenses eliminates unwanted side light reflections.
Cons
  • New Competitors Arrive
