Great idea Bad job but with REALLY CAMCO plastic hose bib

I thought it was a great idea And a very easy way to fit a hose bib to the outside of my camper van but the fitting failed Of course with nice T- Brass piece and gray plastic hose tail. Really Camco This is the best you can offer consumers any hardware store that has brass hose bibs and you can't sell it with brass bibs. Even before I read the review I knew I would replace that cheap plastic bib with a brass bib I ran on a farm as a kid and replace my fair share of leaky seals and you can't beat a brass tube bib because the Washer is replaceable If it no longer seals properly you can replace it and secondly you don't have to worry about it breaking every time. In the pictures you can see a cheap clear rubber gasket finished in Camco and a black rubber gasket finished in brass. These washers are available at almost any hardware store, usually in packs of more than one for only a few dollars, one of the plastic washers appears to be glued on. You can see in my photos that the two are pretty much the same, just the plastic around the cut off neck is larger due to the screw threads. My use will do very little for a water hose, but when I use it like this I'm used to something not to hang the weight of the hose on the bib

Pros
  • Fits great for me
Cons
  • Almost ok
