Taken on vacation for hiking, cycling and as a pet seat. great for all three! We have a slightly chubby, leggy mini pin, about 14 pounds, active, and she loved it. When she was exhausting herself on camping trips, it was a very comfortable place for her and not too bulky for us. Also good for cycling. The drawstring mesh at the top reassured us she couldn't climb/jump but she could stick her head out to look. She often preferred to lie on the soft ground and look ahead through the mesh. We could take them window shopping and nobody was smarter. It was a bit difficult to pack in a rush as we had to put her in a rental car and move on. We should have done that before we got the car. I can recommend it without hesitation, we have been using it for a long time!
