Works about half the time

About half the time the disc works well enough not to be a bother given the cost. About half the time, however, I barely touch them with the workpiece, and they're erased in seconds. Especially if you try to sand the edge and don't touch it properly, the paper will break immediately if it gets caught, the outer edges will be completely torn off and the paper will be crumpled and most of the abrasive will be gone. So can't complain too much as they really do cost pennies, but it's also annoying when you have a larger task ahead of you say a few parts and when you know it's more than just fast sand will be because you find yourself reaching for a new drive often enough that your anger rises and you consider buying the excellent, albeit much more expensive, 3M brand. (Which I really love, but sometimes it's hard to pay those prices to swallow a pill). I generally tend to use the cheap types for tasks that aren't "hard" or time consuming, and keep the expensive ones for tasks where lower quality would be an impediment.

Pros
  • Abrasive disc back-up pad
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
