It's a cheap knife, but that doesn't mean it's not a decent blade. It's gotten insanely hot. The blade is of good thickness and should be strong. The scrub is also very good. Great deal for your camping or EDC bag. Great for cooking in the bush rather than using a belt knife which may not be the cleanest tool for the job. The only thing I really find fault with is the very cheap plastic of the shell which warps easily when trying to close the knife. Worth the money although I would buy it again. An $8 knife is hard to beat.
