is Alpinestars best perch guard. it is very light and has been strong so far. However, it has several serious disadvantages: 1. additional protection of the biceps sucks. with the same success, you can stick a piece of cardboard on your hand. The straps are fragile and the foam is very thin.2. The elastic straps holding the side panels in place come undone fairly easily, leaving loose goose pads. I prefer thicker pads. I bought Leatt's best perch guard and returned it because it was too heavy. However, it was a tank. This alpinestars body armor is very light and can be worn all day, but as said, any straps and additional protective foam that does NOT cover the chest or back could be improved.
